Hi. I'm Grant. I'm a gorilla.
I have a pretty sweet gig as a mascot for a class full of awesome kids and amazing teachers. I like to spend weekends doing fun stuff with my friends. I don't talk much, but I have very expressive eyes. And, most importantly, I don't like to get wet.
It's Friday Night. And the feelin's right.
After we left school, I went home with Cameron and did some normal evening stuff.
Colin let me ride in his swing for a while! I went super high.
Cameron likes to climb, and he brought me with him. I was a little scared, because he held me loosely, but he didn't let go. If he would have clinged to tightly, he would have lost control.
Dinner time! Cameron ate all the shrimp himself, but he shared some mac and cheese with me.
I'm on a boat! I'm going fast!
Aunt Sally and Uncle David took us for a fun day on their boat! I spent a lot of time in the "dry box", because, as you know, I'm not a fan of getting wet. But, I did come out for a little bit to have some fun.
Cameron and I got some snorkel practice in on the dock before we shipped off.
I tried out a little bit of fishing...
...but, Colin looked at me like I was doing it all wrong.
Hooray! Uncle Dave and Cameron caught a grouper! We let it go after.
Cameron showed me a cool spot with some rocks where crabs live.
Cameron swam in the water a lot, so Aunt Sally and Colin played with me for a little bit.
It wasn't part B. It was a PART-AYYYY!
On Saturday night, we went to Grandma Fran's retirement party. It was full of Cameron's family and friends. Everyone had a great time, and, best of all, there was dancing!
Grandma was so happy we came to bust a move with her.
Colin can break dance. Who knew?
I met Cameron's awesome cousins, Joey and Jakey.
I'm on a beach! Can you dig it?
Grandma Marie came over on Sunday and we did something that Cameron and Colin love... went to the beach!!! Cameron likes to get buried in sand holes, so I helped him out.
We used the sand to make castles, and pyramids, and starfish, and elephants, and turtles, and, ok, I'll stop now.
I love to climb, but there wasn't much to climb at the beach. So, I just climbed our shade tent.
We finished out our hot day with some cold ice cream.
I wasn't tired. Really. I swear.
We had so much fun, I just didn't want the weekend to end. I was ready to go do so much more fun stuff with Cameron. I'm not quite sure how I fell asleep. I guess my eyes just closed by accident.
